The Great North-Easter was planned to be a journey that titillates the senses and gives a long-lasting memory of open-road freedom right from the very beginning. In addition to motorcycling, a variety of activities are planned to satisfy your taste for adventure and appreciation of South African history, both on and off your bike.
This tour spans four days in length. Like the Southwestern Breakaway, it makes the most of weekend time, enabling those on a relatively inflexible weekday schedule to maximise their riding enjoyment, without cutting deeply into a hectic work schedule. By default, the tour begins on a Friday morning and ends on a Monday afternoon, but the tour schedule may be shifted to any portion of the week.**
Day 1: Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Gauteng, Northwest Province. Beginning in Midrand, the first leg takes us East out of Gauteng, into the green expanses of Mpumalanga.
